From the port of Cala Bona you have easy access to one of the leading diving schools in Mallorca. The Cycling Greenway (Via Verde)
The Greenway from Manacor to Artà is a pleasant 29 km route that will take you through the interior and along the east coast of Mallorca. It is a very simple & safe cycling route that follows the old train tracks that used to link both towns. Mini train to Costa de los Pinos
A different & comfortable way to explore the whole of Cala Millor bay as a family, is to take the mini train that goes from Cala Bona to the Costa de los Pinos. This fun urban mini train leaves Cala Bona (Na Llambies - Port stop) every 60 minutes and makes a round trip along the entire coast in one hour. It is only available in the summer months (the months of July, August and September) & costs 4.50 euros per adult & 2.50 euros per child.

Planned activities with kids in Cala Bona can range from a family day at the Fantasy Park, to a bicycle ride along the seaside promenade, or a visit to the Safari Zoo, where the most exotic animals in the world live. The beaches of Cala Millor
In addition to the beach of Cala Millor (also known as Cala Nau or Son Moro), near this coastal centre on the Levante coast of Majorca, you can enjoy other beautiful coves & beaches such as Cala Bona (to the north) and that of Sa Coma & S'Illot (to the south). All of them are characterised by their wide & shallow seabed, their crystalline waters with hardly any waves & their fine sand, ideal for sunbathing or playing with the kids.
The beaches of Cala Ratjada
One of the great attractions of Cala Ratjada is the variety of its wonderful coves & beaches. There’s something for everyone! On the one hand, Cala Agulla & Cala Moltó, two virgin coves surrounded by Mediterranean pine trees and framed in a nature reserve. On the other, the most urban and familiar: Son Moll, right next to the promenade; Cala Gat, which is a favourite for local people; and Cala Olla and Cala Lliteras, two perfect rock coves to disconnect from everything.
Beaches on the Bay of Palma
The Mediterranean laps the whole of the bay of Palma, creating paradises of fine sand & turquoise water, ideal to enjoy a relaxing getaway almost any time of the year. The most urban beach in Palma is the Can Pere Antoni beach, just a few minutes walk from the Cathedral. A little further south are the beaches of Portitxol & Molinar, Ciudad Jardín & Cala Estancia. And, if we continue the route to the south, we arrive at Can Pastilla where the spectacular Playa de Palma begins.

Cycling route to Son carrió
The cycling route to Son Carrió is one of the most famous cycling routes in the area for the beautiful views it offers of the Majorcan countryside and for its simplicity since it adapts to all levels, even beginners. It is a circular route of just 17 km that passes through Sa Coma and S’Illot and offers the chance of taking a break in the centre of Son Carrió to enjoy some typical Majorcan cuisine in one of its bars & terraces.
Cycling route to Almerimar
The cycling route that connects the centre of Roquetas de Mar with the coastal town of Almerimar, in the municipality of El Ejido, will allow you to enjoy a beautiful journey through the entire nature reserve of Punta Entinas - Sabinar. It is a round-trip , of moderate difficulty & covering 58 km. You can see the salt flats of Viejas & Cerrillos as well as the Sabinar Lighthouse and the naturist beach of El Príncipe, located within the nature reserve.
Kayak rides along the bay
How about a ride on a kayak skirting the east coast of Mallorca? Sounds great! As a sea port, in Cala Bona there are a wide range of water activities to enjoy during your holiday in Mallorca. One that’s great fun to enjoy with your partner, with friends or with the whole family, ia ride on a kayal all along the bay of Cala Millor. In the resort there are several companies that organise guided kayak excursions to different parts of the bay.
The Route from Cala Agulla to Cala Mesquida
The route that links Cala Agulla & Cala Mesquida and that goes to the Talaia de Son Jaumell is one of the most beautiful hiking routes along the coast of Mallorca. Its varied Mediterranean landscape is unique and also allows walkers to enjoy some of the most beautiful virgin coves on the island: the tip of Es Gulló, Cala Moltó, pine forests & small hills as well as cliffs overlooking the sea. The views are spectacular and is about 8 km, but it is quite easy terrain.
Routes on Horseback in Sa Coma
Dare to try a different kind of experience this holiday; a route on horseback through the most beautiful places in Sa Coma. Very close to our hotels you’ll find the emblematic Rancho Sa Coma, from where you can take pony rides (for children) and horseback (for adults). There are routes near the beaches and routes also through the inviting forest area around the Ranch.

It is a Natural Area of Special Interest (ANEI in Spanish) that separates Sa Coma from Cala Millor and offers inland & coastal routes ideal for hiking and Nordic Walking. Hiking in the Nature Reserve of Punta Entinas
Hiking lovers staying at our hotel in Roquetas are in luck, since our hotel in Playa Serena is just a few metres away from the Punta Entinas - Sabinar nature reserve. One of Almería’s recommended hiking routes is precisely the one that runs along the coast of this park from Roquetas to El Ejido. The most beautiful is the one that will take you through the marshes of Punta Entinas: relatively easy & ideal to do as a family, it takes about 80 minutes.
Diving in the Cova des Coloms
Less than half an hour's drive from Sa Coma, next to the beaches of Cala Varques & Cala Romántica, we find the famous Cova des Coloms, one of the most beautiful semi-underwater caves in Mallorca. The cave is camouflaged under a cliff and is the perfect place to enjoy an exciting diving experience. Diving in Roquetas de Mar
On the coast of Roquetas de Mar there are several areas that offer visitors the chance to discover the Mediterranean sea bed of this area of Andalusia. The 2 most interesting diving areas are the one that includes the natural area of Punta Entinas Sabinar, called Lajas de cerrillos; and the Aguadulce area, next to the marina, where there is an artificial reef and a posidonia seaweed control station, responsible for the crystal clear waters in this area.
Tourist Mini Train Cala Millor - S’Illot
If you want to make an enjoyable & tranquil trip along the whole coast that goes from Cala Millor beach to S'Illot and back, you just have to go to the stop of the tourist train that you will find in the centre of Cala Millor. The route takes you all along the coast & gives you a view of Punta de N’Amer, Sa Coma & S'Illot. This train only runs during the months of July, August & September and costs 5 euros per adult & 3 euros per child
Anyone for a game of Tennis or Paddle?
If you’re a tennis or paddle enthusiast, one of the great tennis clubs on the north east coast of Mallorca is just a short distance from the centre of Cala Ratjada. It is the Aguait Tennis Club, named after the area of Cala N’Aguait . In addition to offering 11 clay tennis courts & 4 paddle tennis courts, and services for all players, it also has a restaurant that is a reference on the island.
A stroll around the port
Just a few minutes from our hotel you’ll find the famous Palma Sailing Club & the city's marina area. By day, you can see some of the most beautiful sailing & pleasure boats in the Mediterranean. By night, the entire port area next to the Cathedral offers a pleasant walk on the shores of the Mediterranean, accompanied by the sound of the waves and the spectacle of the lights of the city.
A visit to Miró’s dream workshop
Joan Miró and his marvellous works of art have always been closely linked to Mallorca. And it is here, in Palma, where the maestro began to craft the creative workshop that he had always dreamed of. Joan Miró moved to Palma in 1956 & his legacy in the city is immense. More than 6,000 works by Miró and the artist's own workshop make up the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró, located in the Sant Agustí - Cala Major area, about 15 minutes by car from our hotel in Palma
A Martini in the Market
One of the most widespread traditions in Palma is enjoying an aperitif in the municipal markets. Especially famous are Santa Catalina Market, in the well known district of the same name, and Olivar Market, right in the heart of the historic centre of Palma. In both, in addition to finding several bars with typical Majorcan tapas, you can also enjoy traditional products & exquisite delicacies prepared at a variety of stalls.
A Visit to Traditional Markets
Although Cala Bona does not have its own market, its exceptional location allows you to visit several of the best traditional markets in Mallorca. The closest is held every Friday in the neighbouring Son Servera. On Thursday it’s the turn of Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, Monday, in Manacor and Tuesday, in Artà, the latter being one of the most recommended, especially for its stalls selling local arts & crafts.
