Markets in Majorca
The markets on Majorca are a very good way of getting to know the island and its people. Every day a number of markets take place but the most important is that of Santa Maria on a Sunday. This market is visited by thousands of people from all over the island. Other markets worth a visit are those of Pollensa (also on a Sunday), Sineu (on a Wednesday) & Inca (on a Thursday). The markets are an excellent place to buy fruit & vegetables as well as local products such as Majorcan sobrasada or butifarron and cheese.
